Description
San Segundo’s hermitage she is considered to be a contemporary of San Andrés’s church of Avila, for what his construction had to of be carrying out between 1130 and 1160. In the first moment it was dedicated to San Sebastian and to Saint Lucia. Nevertheless, after the finding in the 16th century of a chest with the relics of “Santus Secundus” the dedication of the church happened to belong to this saint. Due to the reforms that it has suffered, of the Romanesque epoch only one preserves the head-board, the southern front page and some walls. Architectural – artistic Monument was declared in 1923.
