Description

Built on a previous church in the year 1100 to accommodate eleven canons under the rule of St. Augustine, its church is of basilica plan with three vaulted naves, separated by arcades on large pillars with columns and attached capitals, and three semicircular apses covered by barrel vault, with seven blind arches on columns and capitals in the central. Also of great interest are the beautiful and simple Romanesque cloister, some of the monastic dependencies and the exceptional silver cross with cameos that it preserves, considered to be the largest Gothic goldsmith’s piece in Catalonia.
