Description
The hermitage of La Soledad is situated in the famous municipality soriano of Calatañazor, declared Historical Artistic National Set in 1962, but that has gone on to the history for being where the Arabic commander Almanzor was defeated in 1002 by Sancho García, Count of Castile. Of Romanesque style, the hermitage just preserves his plant, the head-board and the north front page due to a series of reforms and transformations that it suffered in the 17th century.
