ERMITA DE LA VERA CRUZ DE MADERUELO (R)

Description
Church with a single nave with an apse of flat head separated by a triumphal arch of semicircular, which was declared Artistic Historical Monument in 1924 by the magnificent Romanesque paintings of its head, which were moved to the Prado Museum in 1947, but, although the original frescoes are no longer here, recently magnificent replicas have been carried out at the foot of the temple, to preserve the image of the originals, that with those of San Baudelio de Berlanga and those of San Esteban de Gormaz constitute one of the most important ensembles of Romanesque painting in Spain.
