SAN JULIÁN Y SAN ANTONIO (R)
Description
The monastery of San Julián y San Antonio, also known as the convent of San Antonio is one of the most beautiful cases of the purest Romanesque in the Community of Madrid. Its foundation dates back to the 11th century, although it may have been earlier, since it is related to Catalan convents of that time due to its excellent head of five apses reminiscent of that of Santa María de Ripoll.
