Description
The church of Nuestra Señora del Azogue in Puebla de Sanabria is located next to the 15th century castle in the highest area of the municipality. The original Romanesque church still has the box of walls of its single nave raised with irregular granite ashlars with two doorways. The greatest interest of the Romanesque building is concentrated in the western gable, on whose southern angle a Baroque tower was attached. The two pairs of statues-columns constitute the most striking element on the cover.
