MONASTERIO DE SANTA MARIA DE GERRI (R)

Description
Monastery of Visigoth origin destroyed by the Arabs and refurbished in 807. The current church, which is the only thing conserved, was consecrated in 1149. It is of basilical plan of three naves covered the central one with vault of canyon and half canyon the lateral ones, and three semicircular apses with presbytery in the central one, that it conserves an interesting set of thirty capitals in its interior. The main door, of three archivolts, it is in the west facade, that it supports a belfry of three floors.
