CATEDRAL DE TARRAGONA (R)
Historic environment
Constructed in the same area that before there was a Roman temple, the chair visigoda and an Arabic mosque, it was begun in Romanesque style in 1171, but it did not finish up to the 14th century, already in fullness of the Gothic. It consists of the church, of plant basilical of three naves, with chapels added to wings from the S. XIV, one principal apse and four secondary ones and three doors of access, two Romanesque ones and Gothic other one. In addition it has a cloister constructed in the S. The XIIIth, to which one accedes from the north side of the head-board, a bedroom, refectory, warehouse, kitchen and chapterhouse.
