Description

Arab fortress built over Roman remains which was conquered by Fernando III in 1234. The current Castle is work from the middle of the 14th century, with major modifications in the 15th. Elongated, it consists of a main body with two entries, divided by a wall which include two high towers, surrounded by another very close to the main fortress. Communication systems are very interesting in its interior, based on ladders and tubes that come in contact the different plants of the towers, the adarves and the rest of the Castle, as the Hispano-Muslim cistern.
